In Blumenau, SENAC, which stands for Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Comercial (Business Learning National Service) is a teaching institution, which, while prioritizes strategic planning aiming at its own competitiveness increase, it sees knowledge use in the decision making process as vital. Having SENAC’S priorities in mind, I decided to create an information system, which can help in the Strategic Planning. It is integrated in the system in operation in the institution and is expected to contribute to monitoring performance indicators, to stocking knowledge and to generating graphics related to the performance indicators. For study consistency I applied both the concepts ‘Knowledge Management’. It is visible that the decision to create a tool for helping in the Strategic Planning brought to SENAC a kind of innovation that contributes not only to real-time performance indicators monitoring, but also to knowledge stocking during the application of the Strategic Planning. This system added agility and trustfulness to the decision making process, along with centralization of shared knowledge to be used when decision-making is needed.
