This work approaches electronic games with light guns. It focuses on the relation between hadware and software and proposes three methods for the detection of target’s coordinates in the video monitor. Also, the specification and construction of a prototype of light gun is presented along with the implementation of a software prototype wich demonstrates the hardware as well as the proposed methods for target detection.
