Abstract:
Each year, more and more scientific research is conducted and published in the fields of neuroscience, including neuropedagogy. The field of psicopedagogy is growing, arousing the interest of the academy and professionals over the last few years. In this process, there are discrepancies between methods and equipments used in studies and those used in activities and procedures applied inside clinics. The objetive of this paper is to approach the clinical and academic fields, by developing a prototype of a system for monitoring brain stimuli through the electroencephalography equipment MindWave Mobile. The recordings of the stimuli can then be used in a session’s verification process, where a vídeo camera’s data captured during the session can also be viewed. The prototype was implemented in the program language C- Sharp, for compatibility with the MindWave Mobile. The brain stimuli captured are saved directly into the vídeo of the session’s recording, to be displayed during the verification process. Through the evaluation of a psychopedagogue it was possible to identify that the prototype met the stipulated objectives, but that its performance was not completely satisfactory. In light of this, this work also presentes suggestions for improvements and extensions of the functionalities developed.
