Título: LIBRAR - CONCEITOS BÁSICOS DE LIBRAS USANDO REALIDADE AUMENTADA E REALIDADE VIRTUAL

Abstract:
This work presents the development of a system that uses Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality to aid in the teaching of alphabet letters and numerical figures in Libras. For this, the system was divided into three modules, the first one with the purpose of showing the user the letters and numerals in Libras using a 3D hand. The other two modules are games for the user to train their knowledge in Libras through Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality. The system was developed using the Unity game and application creation platform, in conjunction with the Vuforia Augmented Reality library and Google VR Virtual Reality library. The type of Augmented Reality for the system was monitor-based video vision. The type of Virtual Reality used for the system is immersive. During the implementation, tests and modifications were made to the system so that the Vuforia and Google VR libraries worked together on the same system. Also presented are concepts, codes and ideas used for the development of the 3D hand modeling system. As a result the system was exported to the Android and IOS platform, enabling the use for testing with a group of students. During the tests, although a certain difficulty was observed in the use of Augmented and Virtual Reality technologies, all the students were able to use the system and enjoy the tasks that were done to them. With the results of the tests it was possible to notice that the objectives were reached and the users showed a great interest in the system to learn Libras.
