| This work deals with 3D CAD (Computer Aided Design) software customization. Techniques for 3D modeling are presented along with a methodology and tools for development of customized applications for SolidWorks 3D CAD software. The development of a software prototype for semi-automatic attribute insertions into SolidWorks’ solids is proposed. The attributes are then used for automatic generation of technical drawings annotation text. The proposal’s viability is presented trough the implementation of a prototype in C++ along with SolidWorks’ development API. |
