Abstract:
This essay presents the development of a web marketplace platform for direct sellers, independent professionals who sell products directly to the final customer without the need of a physical space. The platform aims to allow direct sellers to work with new suppliers and centralize all their orders in one website, reachable from any device connected to the internet. To achieve this, the software implements a registration flow for sellers as well as features that allow orders from multiple suppliers, building an online marketplace. The project backend was developed using the PHP programming language and MySQL database, while the application frontend was built with Bulma Framework. To test the applications performance in mobile devices and desktop computers, as well as different web browsers, the tools PageSpeed Insights and BrowserShots were used. In the end, some interfaces were compared with Material Design Guidelines to validate the usability and accessibility of the website.
