Título: IRIS: UM APLICATIVO PARA PROCESSAMENTO DE IMAGENS PARA DALTÔNICOS
 
Abstract:
Around 8% of men and 1% of women have some kind of problem with color vision, and given the importance of color in communication and information, these people may experience problems in day-to-day tasks. This work presents the development of an Android application that performs images processing for color blind people such as protanomaly, tritanomaly and deuteranomaly, aiming the correct visualization of information that usually has some loss due it’s deficiency. The application makes use of the Daltonize algorithm to improve the visual quality of digital images captured through mobile devices such as photos, gallery photos and real-time videos. After the development, the app was tested with volunteers that also answered a usability and acceptance questionnaire. The results were positive, but also indicated that the app needs some improvements, mainly on real-time functionality. Finally, we have suggested some extensions that seek to improve and expand the functionality of the application created.
