This work describes the development of a game engine for Android platform in the form of a library and the implementation of a poker game prototype. Basic concepts are also presented on the main resources available to develop an application on this platform. The engine provides the designer with the basic structure of a card game, such as management of the cards in the deck, positioning of elements on the screen and interact of the user with the cards.
