| Work report developed by using the technique of association rules to information dissemination concerning new acquisitions of the Blumenau Regional University\\\'s Academic Library bibliographic collection. It approaches aspects about information management and dissemination in academic libraries and data mining, specifically the technique of association rules. It specifies the system\\\'s development and implementation. The system was developed to send, by e-mail, new acquisitions information in accordance with the areas selected by the user in his profile. The technique of association rules was used as a differential, with objective to send also new acquisitions information from other areas that can be of interest to the user, from detected correlations using association rules. The system can help in the services offered by academic libraries mainly with relation to informational needs of users. |
