| Abstract: |
| The main objective of this assignment is the conception and the development of a software to support the quality evaluation of software documentation. At first, it brings a detailed presentation of the standard ISO/IEC 18019:2004 - Software and System Engineering - Guidelines for the Design and Preparation of User Documentation for Application Software, standard which will be used as a basement to develop the proposed software. In the next step the content of the standard will be used to create the check list, in order to make the evaluation more objective. Besides the check list, the assignment will propose the development of measures which allows the user to quantify the quality of software documentation. Once developed, the proposed software will be used as a support for three software documentations audits by three different auditors. The rate of effectiveness of the check list and the software will be measured by the magnitude of variability among the different evaluations. As small is the divergence among the values reached by the audits, bigger will be the effectiveness of the software and the check list. The software was implemented using the programming language Object Pascal. |
