Abstract:
Information management through Information Technology (IT) resources has become increasingly important in organizations, as well as in educational institutions, which need effective control over their activities. To this end, process automation is essential if these activities are to be successfully completed, just as expected results are achieved. This work presents the specification, development and operability of the GTFURB system, which aims to develop a management system of the processes involved in the development of the Course Completion Work (TCC) of the Department of Systems and Computation (DSC) of the Regional University Foundation of Blumenau (FURB). In the specification phase, information was collected from the current system through an open interview with the TCC coordinator and supporter of this TCC, which listed the difficulties encountered in the current FURB DSC TCC process. To meet the demands raised, requirements and models for system development were specified using the Java programming language for the web platform and the MySQL database. In addition, the Hibernate framework was used to perform communication and transactions in the database and the PrimeFaces framework, helping in the development of web pages. After the development, a usability assessment was applied with three key specialists in the system, who performed the GTFURB system evaluation following a test script. The results were satisfactory and users indicated that the system can be deployed in this institution, FURB. In addition, from the usability evaluation it was possible to visualize that the results and objectives were achieved, as well as allowing to list some points to be improved in the system.
