Título: PROTÓTIPO DE UM DISPOSITIVO GERENCIADOR DE EQUIPAMENTOS VIA ETHERNET PARA ECONOMIA DE ENERGIA

Abstract:
This work presents the development of a prototype that aims to reduce costs by avoiding wasted energy and spending on watchmen at FURB, monitoring classrooms and turning off electronic equipment such as air conditioners and projectors on empty rooms. For this, a device was developed to be installed in classrooms with the ability to turn off equipment through IR commands. It was built using components such as motion sensor, receiver and IR emitters, Arduino Mega, Ethernet Shield W5100 and LDRs. The device can connect to a monitoring server over the Internet, to detect movements in the room, learn and issue IR commands and detect the status of electronic equipment. If the device detects that a room is empty, it requests the commands to the monitoring server and turns off the equipment. It has also been developed a web interface where it is possible to access all the information of the monitoring system, monitor the connected devices and change its attributes. For the development of the server and the web interface were used the languages JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Finally, the prototype worked according to defined objectives and could monitor the rooms and turn off their equipment through IR commands.
