Abstract: |
In this work, the concepts of Just in Time (JIT), logistics and electronic data interchange (EDI), which is present in the automotive industry, are approached. There is a need to address these issues in order to reach the objective of this work, which is to facilitate communication between the cars assembler and its parts suppliers. In order to promote this integration, the "Just In Time Sequencing System" (jitSS) system is used to perform the translation of the information sent from the sender (assembler) to the supplier, allowing the supplier to know which part, quantity and when to deliver, thus allowing a car to follow its production process. It made use of the Java programming language, SQL Server as the database and one of the standard international message formats, EDIFACT / DELJIT. |
