Título: SISTEMA COMPUTACIONAL PARA AUXILIO NO TRATAMENTO DE AURICULOTERAPIA

Abstract:
Due to its benefits, more and more people are adhering to acupuncture, which uses its own methods to stimulate certain points in the body, promoting in the organism the improvement of its natural function and defense. This technique is divided into several branches, including the Auriculotherapy. Auriculotherapy refers to the stimulation of the ear’s auricle by taking advantage of the ears’ reflex points on the nervous system. With that in mind, this study aims to develop a system that helps the acupuncturist. It will do so by automating the registration process, accompanying the patient sessions, and suggesting application points according to the symptoms diagnosed by the specialist. To assist the expert, the system will be developed for Androids, a mobile platform, making it portable and easily accessible regardless of where the treatment takes place. Already the modeling of expert knowledge, was developed based on production rules, used the Clips tool. This tool will be running on an external server and answered the application requests, with suggested points. Professionals working in the area can test this tool. With the results obtained, one will be able to observe how it aids both the professional and the patient. The system has the application process faster, simpler, and showed an improvement in monitoring of Auriculotherapy sessions.
