This work presents an application to a Web environment that assists in developing COBOL programs, allowing you to search for specific source code(s) term(s) bringing the result(s) specific(s) or similar(s). It used the technique for Text Mining to search, aiming to maximize the results returned by the application. The source code search result can be used as the basis for the development of new programs. It was developed in C # using SQL Database Server 2008 for storing information. It also allows the user to maintain technical manuals and/or procedures. As a result highlights the gain of time in developing new programs, since the application source code returns registered in its database that have similarity with the program being developed. It also allows searching by procedures already performed, for example, when the programmer needs to accomplish a task and she has already been made and registered in the application, it may follow the actions according to the record, buying time in implementing it. The results were satisfactory, since the application assists in the task of looking for a source basis for the development of new programs. It also helps to document the tasks performed on a day-to-day.
